This is a unique product that is well priced and ideal to round out your home gym. It arrived as promised and was easy to assemble. The LCD has one bad pixel and I immediately went to the manufacturer’s website to register my tv and request an exchange on the LCD. That was over three weeks ago and no response from the manufacturer. I would give this five stars if it had reasoanble warranty service.

  2. I originally wanted to buy an elliptical machine with a built-in TV, but they are hard to find and extremely expensive. I ended up concentrating on the features of the elliptical itself without worrying about the TV. Shortly after I got the elliptical, I happened to see this item. It has everything I was looking for. The picture is crisp and clear, it has a built-in DVD player (although you have to put the DVDs in with the mirror side facing you, which is counter-intuitive and made me think it wasn’t working at first), an HDMI connector so I can hook up my laptop and watch streaming movies, and it’s height-adjustable so I can watch without craning my neck. Having a TV makes the exercise session fly by. This product is lightweight and easy to set up. I’m happy with it. The only thing negative about it is that the built-in speakers are so-so. I solved it by plugging the TV audio into my elliptical’s input jack and then plugging my headphones into the output jack of the elliptical. Problem solved.

  3. So far this TV is terrible as I can’t get any tv stations on it after having spent over 4 hours trying different things…ugh!

Any suggestions anyone? For those who have one, how did you set it up, pls?

We bought this Vuze tv with our treadmill, but I have been unable to get any cable channels on it.

I choose set up, and use the Auto Find cable channel features (tried on all 3 cable settings, Auto, HR and IRC or close to those I’m not beside the tv right now), it searches for 5-10 minutes says it finds a few channels but all the channels either have lots of snow on them or it says No Signal. We have Time Warner digital cable with extended channels. The black wire cable that came with the Vuze was the standard plug used for tv cable (very thin wire plug coming out from the center) on one side, and the other side was a weird plug. I went to Radio Shack, who said it was a PAL plug so I bought a connector for it to the standard tv cable plug and it still didn’t work.

I bought a long black wire cable that had the standard plug used for tv cable on both ends and tried that, and that didn’t work either. I know it is not a problem with the connection coming from the wall since I have tried using the one that connects to our regular tv, which obviously gets all the channels.

When I called Vuze, I could only talk to a sales rep and he had no idea. Any help much appreciated!

Updated: April 24…sorry for the delay - I don’t check this often.

I ended up getting thru to someone who was friendly but knew nothing but was able to give me an e-mail address to write to. I thought it was just the run-around but decided to give it a try. The tech support, Brad, got back to me the next day, a good sign!

He was extremely professional and concerned about the issue. He had not experienced cx concerns like this before. Over the next few days we exchanged e-mails as he told me to try a few things and I tested them.

First issue was the connector that came with the TV was PAL (wrong type for USA). He sent a new adapter. Turns out the cable connection is weak so while I can now get all the channels, the picture looks like it’s from a 20 yr old tv. However, the DVD looks sharp so it’s not a screen issue.

I’ve been too busy to look into it, but I’ve been told that if I can get a stronger signal, it should be clearer. We have a bunch of cables running all over the place in the crawl space (previous owners set it up) so I will have to take a look and figure out if I can make a shorter connection, etc. However, I can get the channels now and know the dvd player works well so am not worried about it. Not watched much, listening to my ipod usually when I run. I’ll get to this next month.

I’d change the star rating to 4 but I can’t seem to change it. Customer service was excellent. I put casters on the TV so I can wheel it from the treadmill to the kitchen if I’m in there baking for a long time, etc.

We went to Dick’s Sports store when we saw an add for a free 15″ VUZE LCD TV/DVD with any treadmill or elliptical purchase over $[...]. I thought, ok this is just some cheap, throw at you gimmick. Turns out this tv is really nice. It’s high def, tested with Verizon FIOS. The only drawback is that the coax cable supplied cannot be plugged in directly to the wall because one connector end is not coax. You will need to purchase a HDMI cable. (Monoprice.com) Other than that, for a small tv it has a very nice picture. I can’t complain about wide screen because, hey after all, it’s a 15″ tv. You do have options for picture view and a nice remote control. It supports up to 1080i resolution. We connected our HP laptop via the HDMI port and that just wowed me. It didn’t need a cable box with our FIOS to pick up channels. Plus, it’s digital and the June 26th change over will not affect the tv in any way. The stand is really beefy and seems overkill for the small size screen but I suppose they know what their doing. I can play MP3 discs or push straight from our laptop.

My husband got this for me and it’s been a great motivator for my exercising. Quality of picture is great and just the right size screen. I hook this up to cable with DVR, watch one sitcom without commercials and I finish two miles easily. It also has built in DVD player. Get it with free shipping and it’s a great deal!
